Avni Mahmudi is a licensed oriental medical practitioner, accredited in both acupuncture and herbology in the state of New York and New Jersey. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from the National Certificate Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Avni has also been certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine in the clean needle technique.
Avni’s journey to the path of Traditional Chinese Medicine began after his eldest son had life-threatening anaphylactic allergies and were successfully treated with Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (N.A.E.T), which Avni now specializes in, as well.
At Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, Avni achieved a Bachelors of Arts and pursued his acupuncture license from the Eastern School of Acupuncture in Montclair, NJ. After receiving his license in acupuncture and traditional medicine, Avni proceeded toward advanced certification in hijama (cupping), post stroke protocol (XNKQ) by Atsuki Maeda L.Ac., and furthered his knowledge of natural healing with internationally recognized Doctor Tan, Kiiko Matsumoto, and Jeffrey Yuen.
Avni has worked at a multidisciplinary health office alongside pain management MDs, chiropractors, and physical therapists. Avni has also worked at the V.A. Hospital in East Orange, NJ in the acupuncture department where he treated hundreds of patients with a variety of different conditions, including chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, fibromyalgia, diabetic neuropathy, stress/anxiety, arthritis, addictions, and many more with great success.
Avni’s treatment techniques consist of electrical stimulation, laser, herbology, hijama/cupping, and moxibustion. His styles of acupuncture include TCM, Japanese, 5–element, scalp, auricular, and Dr. Tan’s Balance Method.
Avni understands the importance of bonding with his patients in order to promote a positive balance physically, mentally and spiritually.
